Bristol has a wealth of urban wildlife. Its parks and open spaces let the city's wildlife thrive whilst allowing people to increase their enjoyment and understanding of their local natural inhabitants. Hedgehogs can be found all over cities and can be found at cemeteries, on railway and wasteland and in both public and private gardens. Many people encourage them into gardens because they eat slugs, snails and insects.
