(1967- 2018)

Maryanne had worked for St Paul’s Unlimited for 12 years, for nine years as chair and currently as treasurer. She was also chair of the Ashley Neighbourhood Forum and Ashley, Easton and Lawrence Hill Neighbourhood Partnership.

She had worked for Victim Support, setting up and running a specialist drop-in in St Paul’s called ‘Space’ for 4 years. It was the most successful drop-in that Victim Support had ever had in terms of number of clients helped.

Maryanne ran the specialised domestic and sexual violence and hate crime drop-in with one other part-time volunteer until funding stopped. She then taught other volunteers for Victim Support how to support victims of sexual violence.

As part of Bristol Drugs Project (BDP), Maryanne mentored two young women and helped at BDP's children’s club for several years. She has also just started volunteering for One 25 (step away from the streets) based in St Paul’s and is about to join the board of Bristol Women’s Voice.
